Tim Holloway, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
“I am a 2007 graduate of University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to Veterinary School, I received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida with a Dual Major, Animal Sciences with Animal Biology Specialization and Microbiology and Cell Sciences. I also had a Minor in Chemistry.
Following graduation, I practiced in a busy Small Animal General Practice in Ocala, FL for 18 months then moved on to Emergency and Critical Care Medicine in Ocala, Gainesville, Daytona, St. Augustine and Jacksonville. During my time in the Emergency Medicine setting I have obtained a wide array of experiences from Critical Care Medicine and a wide range of surgical procedures. With that being said I have a special interest in Critical Care Medicine and Surgery (Orthopedic and Soft Tissue).
I am an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, and the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. I am the current President of the Jacksonville Medical Society.
During my “free time” I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife, Stephanie (who is also a veterinarian), my two beautiful children Kymber and Brody, my menagerie of pets (4 dogs, 2 cats, 4 tortoises 4 horses, and a pony). I also enjoy mechanics and restoring antique vehicles, especially jeeps; fishing and spending time outdoors.
I truly look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) in the very near future!!!”
Stephanie Holloway, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Stephanie Holloway has always loved animals, having grown up in a very pet-friendly home here in Jacksonville, FL. After knowing animals would always be her passion, she decided that veterinary school was her final academic goal. She continued to work locally as a veterinary technician at hospitals throughout Jacksonville and Orange Park while enrolling at Florida Community College of Jacksonville. Once Dr. Holloway graduated with her Associates Degree, she transferred to University of Florida College of Agriculture and graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in 2003. While enrolled in classes at UF, Dr. Holloway worked at the University of Florida Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in the ICU Dept., managing the blood bank and was a lead nurse for the Orthopedic department. Dr. Holloway received her Master of Science degree in Veterinary Science in 2004 and was then accepted into Veterinary School at the University of Florida, graduating in 2010.
Prior to working at Southside Animal Clinic, Dr. Holloway worked at several general practices throughout Jacksonville and Orange Park. With a desire to help as many animals as possible, Dr. Holloway worked for Clay County Humane Society, Jacksonville Humane Society, and Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services.
Dr. Holloway enjoys horseback riding and being a mother to her two children, Kymber and Brody, as well as wife to Dr. Tim Holloway. Her home is much like how she was raised: full of love for her 4 dogs, 2 cats, 4 tortoises, 4 horses and a pony. Even with all the excitement, somehow she still manages to sneak in a little time for some reality T.V.!
