Dr. Mickie Fernandez-Guckes earned her Bachelor of Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida. She grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where her passion for animals began at a young age. She was always known to have a wide variety of pets growing up which sparked her interest in veterinary medicine.

After graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Mickie started practicing as a small animal veterinarian in Jacksonville and has loved being here ever since! She is passionate about dentistry and end of life care but most of all she aims to foster quality relationships with pet owners in order to provide the best care for their pets.

She enjoys spending her time with her fiancé and 2 dogs, Prince and Bucket. They are always looking for new things to do in Jacksonville and enjoy traveling and visiting family.
